Duties: |
Skills/ Requirements
Responsible for managing, supervising, planning, teaching and providing nursing care to patients in the home environment, with an emphasis on patients with psychiatric issues, especially dementia.
Provides consultative services to other health care team members on medical/surgical patients that have co-occuring psychiatric issues.
Maintains and submits documentation as required by the agency. Prepares and submits documentation of client assessments, summaries, recommendations and progress notes according to agency policy. |
Qualifications: |
Min 1 year of acute care and 3 years of psychiatric RN experience, preferably community mental health experience and geriatric experience - specifically with dementia patients.
Current licensure as an RN in good standing
Minimum of Bachelor's degree. Advanced degree in psychiatric nursing and/or psychiatric certification preferred
Current CPR, TB, Fingerprint Card (If you do not have these available, let us assist you in obtaining these) |
