| Perform construction inspection for road, bridge, traffic signal flood control, sewer and water projects. |
Duties: |
Perform construction inspection, oversight and enforcement of compliance.
Understands concepts of schedule, budget, and scope of services.
Ability to identify assignments outside scope of services. Prepare and process change orders, daily logs and day statements.
Maintain accurate records for payment processing. Responds to complains and inquires whilereplying in a professional and expeditious manner.
Arranges for testing and construction staking.

Qualifications: |
10+ years of directly related experience and knowledge of standard specs for Public Works construction
Must have the ability to work independently and be resident inspector on construction projects.
Must exercises independent judgment in day-to-day interpretation of standards and specifications.
Must have working knowledge of the OSHA construction safety orders
Ability to independently with limited supervision and oversight
Must be able to identify potential problems and propose solutions
Must have previous experience on roadway reconstruction and resurfacing, water and sewer lines, RCP and RCB storm drains, pump stations, booster pump stations, traffic signal upgrade, installation and synchronization
Must have through understanding of schedules, budget, and scope of services. Excellent client relationships and communication skills (both verbal and written) to interface with vendors, managers, inspectors.
Working knowledge with MS Office Suite.
Must have experience with ADOT, City of Tucson, Pima County, and MAG.
